Once again....

ANYTHING GOES.....
at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week and I LOVE IT!!

Having spent the past week at CHA.....oh how much fun was that??!?! TONS! Then returning to recordbreaking heat.....wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull off a project this week but I did it!! I chose to use a project I started in a Mixed Media class taught by Sally Lynn McDonald/ArtC. This is what I came up with class....couldn't wait to get her home and "Lynne her up"!!

The lower left corner was looking naked so I created a a flower out of some new material I purchased (wish I could remember what it's called!!!)...it's heavier than crinoline......I AM IN LOVE. I painted on some Distress Stain and spritzed with water. And do you see the Leaves Art Parts.......LOVE them tooo!!

I added a bit of Liquid Pearls and Distress Stickles to the butterfly and created him an antenna out of wire.

Now....."the Girl" as I named here was looking
a bit lacking too so I accented her lovely
headdress with tissue tape, another flower,
some colored seam binding,
a bit of twine and a little bauble
....boy I felt better after that!!

Here she is.....the finished product!! Much....Much better!

So whatcha gonna create for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge??? Be sure to load your creation over at the blog for all to see and who knows......you could be this weeks lucky winner of......

And I'm OFF........

You will need to forgive me.....time TOTALLY got away from me this week as I prepared to go to CHA....yeah, I'm just a TAD EXCITED!! So sadly, my post will be short and sweet......just like me....hehehe!!

The challenge this week at

EMBOSSING!!

For my card, I began with a piece of Distress Cardstock which I then embossed, sanded, applied a bit of  Tissue Tape quite randomly. I then colored it with Distress Stain, brushed on some Perfect Pearls and finished off the card face with some drybrushed paint. I then proceeded to stamp on it and embellish it with do dads I found laying around on my work surface!

Added extras.......
a Memo pin with beads on it.
A Grungeboard diecut Butterfly, painted, stamped on and inked.
Finished off with a hand crocheted flower with a Lock and Key held on with a jump ring!!

So, while I hanging out at CHA....hoping to meet some of the girlies from Simon Says Stamp.....you put your thinking cap on......and whip up a wonderful creation. Don't forget to link it up to The Blog......you could be this weeks random winner of.....

Harvest by Reminisce

When I received this line.......I ohhhhh and ahhhhh with every piece of paper I looked at!!!

I created a two page layout of my family at Thanksgiving!!

I cut the candles out of the paper and pop~dotted them dimension. I used various "Harvest" papers to diecut flowers. Don't you just love the leaf stickers?? I put powder on the back of each sticker, curled and pop~dotted them for additional dimension.

ohhhhhhh.....you will soooo need to be looking on the racks of your Local Scrapbook Store for these BEAUTIFUL PAPERS!!! " Harvest" by Reminisce!!

A Stitch..........

or two or three or four......Machine or Hand.....which ever way you choose it's all good....cause that's what we're looking for over at Simon Says Stamp and Show!!

BRING ON YOUR STITCHING!!!

My creation began with a piece from Arts Parts Sample painted with white acrylic paint and distressed with Sepia Archival Ink.

Then I decided to push my comfort zone and work with Pink and Purple......so not part of my color pallette!!!

After I colored my piece of canvas I stamped it with one of my all time favorite background stamps!!! with one of my favorite verbage stamps and STITCHED on some vintage buttons.

To accent my wall hanging, I mixed a combo of Purple and Pink paint to match the Distress colors and I painted the Arts Parts Heart. Dabbed on a bit of Fiber Paste and when almost dry I stamped, with Sepia Archival Ink, onto the heart.

And those wings......they were cut from GrungeBoard and embossed, painted, sanded and inked using an Ink Blending Tool.

How could I create anything without have a FLOWER some where on my piece. And there you have it.......MY STITCHED creation!!!

So.....pull out your needle and thread or sewing machine and create away!!!

Link your creation up to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and you might just win....

love a good FLOURISH!!!

and so do the teamies at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge...........

The Flourish I used is a Sizzix die called Vine with Leaves. I cut flourishes using Paper Stash and Glassine paper. I brushed on Peeled Paint Distress Stain and dabbed on a little Peeled Paint Distress Stickles.

She nestled them behind her removable fabric corsage created using a
Flower Die, various fabrics,Mustard SeedWild HoneyRusty HingeScattered Straw, and Barn Door Reinker Mixtures and accented with a Vintage Trinket

She colored a piece of seam binding with a mixture of Barn Door and Aged Mahogany for a droooopy accent. The leaves were cut from Crinoline using her Tattered Leaves die which she colored using Peeled Paint

The card base is also from the Paper Stash, punched and inked!! What a wonderful card/gift for a special friend!!

so........I know you love a good FLOURISH too!! Link it up at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog....who knows....you could be chosen a a Top Three Winner or even a.....
