Another of my MISFITS!

I knew I had a grueling day of computer....
but FIRST I needed to get my head right
in a VERY SHORT period of time!

When I use texture mediums through my stencils
there is ALWAYS leftover "stuff" that I prefer NOT
to put back into the jars. So I have a pile of
tags,  file folders and cards that I apply
my 'tovers to. So I pulled out one of those file folders...

I then went to my bucket of 'tovers!
All the little pieces parts that didn't make it onto
on of my creations....but instead
thrown into a rather large bucket.

Look at all the "this and thats"
on my card!

What do you do with your 'tovers??
I think I need to use my 'tovers a bit more often!!

Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe Memorial Day Weekend!
Take a moment to remember those who GAVE ALL
so we can have our FREEDOM!

soooo MUCH has been going on!!!

Hello my friends and fans!!

I have a saying.....
Not all BAD things....are BAD!

when you get past the moment....
some how....
some way...
things just work out!

I had one of those BAD things happen to me RECENTLY...
and SOOO MANY exciting things have happened SINCE.
In April, I had the opportunity to attend
StencilU facilitated by The Crafter's Workshop.

WHAT an AMAZING group of woman!!!
The event was attended by past and current design team members.
Cheryl Boglioli our FABULOUS DT Coordinator
myself
the ohhhh so generous Tami Sanders
Julie Fei-Fan Balzer...what a WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE!
the super creative Karenliz Henderson
my AMAZING roomie Rachel Kleinman
and the talented Keri Sallee
(missing Jaime Echt ~ our amazing host)

One of our exercises was to create a demo....
then perform it for the class.
WHAT AN AWESOME exercise!

Here is my sample....SOOO NOT ME!

I went to this event with the idea,
I wanted to learn as much as I could
and I wanted to try something outside my box!
And I did both!

I learned so MUCH from each of the
participants and the teachers.
My life is FOREVER CHANGED!

Before all the PEEPS left,
we created a piece of artwork to leave behind.
I used alot of goodies that were in a
a box given to each participant by Tami Sanders.
I did sneak in a flower on this one!

We received a coveted The Crafter's Workshop apron
for participating in this awesome event.

Thank you The Crafter's Workshop
for an AWESOME WEEKEND!!

Spring HAS TO COME!

I just came across this post in
DRAFT FORM....been there awhile!!
I will share it anyways!

Can I just say I am SOO HAPPY
we are in the month of March.
We lived through the coldest winter
on record, here in New Hampshire
with lots and lots of snow!
SPRING HAS TO COME!
Flowersmake
I truly enjoyed this month's DT package,
full of bright and cheery Petaloo blooms
and an assignment of a "Spring Project"!
Flowersmake5
I pulled out a 4 x 6 Canvas Panel
and created the background by painting
on various colors of Perfect Paint ~
Shimmering Matte Artist Acrylic
that matched the Burlap Blossoms
Yellow
Ivory and
Pistachio
I chose to use.
Flowersmake3
I colored the edges of an Ivory Burlap Blossom
to match the Antique Rose Forget Me Nots,
just PERFECT!
And how cute are the
Teastained Yellow Darjeeling Petites!?!
Flowersmake4
I will patiently awaiting the arrival of Spring...
and the blossoms because....
FLOWERS MAKE THE SOUL HAPPY!!!
