what do you do.....

when life throws you a curve ball??

I head to the place where my mind quiets and I can find peace...
no assignments....no product requirements....just me and my stuff.
....this is what comes out of one of those times!!

I began the creative journey by gathering items out of my goodie box from
Tami Sanders and pieces parts from my "misfits" bucket.

I had no idea where I was going....I just let my creativity lead me.

I applied a layer of Ranger Ink~ Multi Medium to hold down the first
layer of goodies then I began applying
Perfect Paints White Stucco and Shimmering Stucco
to hold down other goodies and to soften edges.

When I had everything adhered down, I applied a layer of
Perfect Paints ~ Perfect Glaze Medium.
(sadly....at this point I became totally lost in the creative process
and stopped taking photos.)

The focal point and inspiration for the piece was this vintage postcard.

I began the next leg of my creative journey by randomly
applying a layer of Perfect Paints ~ Pearl Plaster ~ Bavarian Cream.
Then, I chose colors of Perfect Paints Shimmering Matt Acrylic
that matched......Coral, Espresso and Aged Copper.
I mixed equal parts of the paints with Perfect Glaze Medium
creating a more transparent paint.
I applied layers and wiped off with a baby wipe, as needed.

I used several The Crafter's Workshop stencils
and applied paint and texture medium.

When my background was complete I knew exactly what would be the perfect
focal point of my creation......
Blue Fern Studio ~ Sara's Screen Door!!
and lots of Petaloo blooms
with a few handmade flowers added to the mix.

I knew what the verbage for my canvas was to be....

I hope you have enjoyed my creative journey....
The situation hasn't changed....
I just have a bit more PEACE to walk the
road in front of me!
