Together we can.....

What a WONDERFUL summer it has been....
I was SOOO BLESSED to have the opportunity to
to spend the week on the Maine Coastline...
I wanted to remember the AMAZING time so I created
this wall hanging.

I had picked up a "wooden palette fence" piece
at a local big box store.

This is what the "wooden palette fence" looked like
(minus the paint)
before I began my creative process.

I went to my Perfect Paints stash and pulled out

I scooped out some Perfect Paints ~ White Stucco
and GENTLY folded in a bit of
The key to making this work is
NOT MIXING the products together completely.

I applied the mixture with a palette knife to achieve this
"weathered fence" look!
HOW AWESOME!!!

I stapled a bit of Chicken Wire to my "fence"
and created a flower spray
using various Petaloo blooms
Botanica Bloom
Mini Pearl Daisies
and Petites
along with a bit of ephemera.

I love the quote I chose to finish off my piece....

"Together we can face any challenges...

as deep as the ocean
and as high as the sky."

I hope you have enjoyed my creative process....
wishing you a
WONDERFUL,
CREATIVE DAY!!

HAPPY EASTER.....

OK....so I will say I cheated a little bit on this project.
A few weeks back I had the opportunity to teach
at a WONDERFUL event for Petaloo.
I had created a Petaloo Flower cluster on a piece
of wire mesh for the above class, but
I ended up not using it....
but it was just so BEAUTIFUL
I saved it knowing
it would get used
SOMEWHERE!!

Happyeaster

....and there it is
stapled to a framed chicken wire piece
I had picked up a while back.

Happyeaster3

Petaloo's Botanica Collection flowers are just
beyond BEAUTIFUL and made creating this
flower cluster.....soo easy!

.....a few Flora Doodles flowers and Leaves
a few Mini Pearl Daisies.

I created my Happy Easter Banner
using Graphic45's Botanical Tea papers,
attached to a bit of Jute and
held on with Mini Clothespins
so the greeting changed out
as needed!
Hope you have enjoyed my creation....
and a
Happy Easter to you and yours!!

....my TAKE!!

Hi Die~Namites Fans!!

I had the AWESOME pleasure of playin' along with
Die~Namites DT member Taniesa Vlasak's

Every month a new sketch will be introduced....
the sketch can be interpreted as a card, layout or altered piece!
You need to use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.
You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.
Link your blog post, using Inlinkz, to the Die~Namites Die blog.
A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants

for a $25 Gift Certificate to Die~Namites Dies

Now....I've spent the majority of my week
getting my "studio" up and running.
Needless to say.....
Not only did I use the sketch....
it was a 30 minute or less QUICKIE!!

....and because my "stuff" is an upheaval,
I pulled out a few papers from "Decked Out" collection
by Splash of Color.
Then I decided to challenge myself further
and only use what I had on my work surface....
which can I say was VERY LIMITED!

OH.....do you spy the Die~Namites Die????
It is the Pine Bough die.

I cut it from Canvas Corp ~ Kraft Chipboard Handmade paper.
I brushed on a bit of Viva Colour ~ Gold ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint
and gave the Pine Bough a spritz of water.
It wouldn't be me if I didn't scrunch the Pine Bough diecut up while it's drying.

So, not sure the "cut" candy cane image
"cuts" it for a tag! but it sure went well!!

AND....it wouldn't be me if there wasn't a flower
on my card....SOMEWHERE!
Don't you just love the Petaloo goodie??

I do hope I've inspired you to pull out one
