Spring HAS TO COME!

I just came across this post in
DRAFT FORM....been there awhile!!
I will share it anyways!

Can I just say I am SOO HAPPY
we are in the month of March.
We lived through the coldest winter
on record, here in New Hampshire
with lots and lots of snow!
SPRING HAS TO COME!
Flowersmake
I truly enjoyed this month's DT package,
full of bright and cheery Petaloo blooms
and an assignment of a "Spring Project"!
Flowersmake5
I pulled out a 4 x 6 Canvas Panel
and created the background by painting
on various colors of Perfect Paint ~
Shimmering Matte Artist Acrylic
that matched the Burlap Blossoms
Yellow
Ivory and
Pistachio
I chose to use.
Flowersmake3
I colored the edges of an Ivory Burlap Blossom
to match the Antique Rose Forget Me Nots,
just PERFECT!
And how cute are the
Teastained Yellow Darjeeling Petites!?!
Flowersmake4
I will patiently awaiting the arrival of Spring...
and the blossoms because....
FLOWERS MAKE THE SOUL HAPPY!!!

Hoppin' into Spring with Tombow.....

Hello and Welcome to the Tombow USA and Die-Namites Blog Hop!

You probably got here from Latrice Murphy’s blog
but if you stumbled across my blog go the Tombow USA Blog to start!

Here is my creation....

I am going to tell you....
this was my first time playing with Tombow's Liquid Adhesive!

AND I LIKED THEM!!

I began by painting a 5 x 7 Art Canvas with Perfect Paints.
through the Crafter's Workshop's ~ Tattting Stencil
with a sponge, applied some Vintage Glitter Glass
OH THE LOVE!!!

HOW PRETTY!!

With my background complete, I let the DIE~CUTTING begin!!

Using Die~Namites Dies and CCB Kraft Paper, I cut several

and Die~Namites Dies ~ Small Ivy and CCB Tweed ~ White,
I cut (3)...

Lastly, I die~cut (1) Die~Namites Dies ~ Summer Branch
from CCB Linen ~ White

Do you see the super cute white flowers??

They were created by cutting many layers of CCB TissueStock

and applying a dab of Tombow's Mono ~ Multi Liquid Glue
to hold the layers together. Using a fan brush, I applied more
Mono ~ Multi Liquid Glue to the edges of my newly made flowers
and sprinkled on a bit of Vintage Glitter Glass.
I loved the look SOOO much I repeated the process
on the Petaloo Botanica Bloom.

I adhered all my pieces parts to the background

I hope you enjoyed my creation and
experiment with Tombo's Mono Adhesives.

Laugh, Create, Inspire, Execute

As part of a business class I am taking,
I had to pick value based words from a large list of word, that appealed to me....
then reorganize the words into 4 groups with similar meanings
then choose one word for each group, creating my
4 Most Important Words that represent me....
I chose....

LAUGH
CREATE
INSPIRE
EXECUTE!

As part of the assignment I was told to keep the words
in front of my face....
so I created a canvas
using items from my "MISFITS" stash....

The background of my canvas was created using
TONS of the Crafter's Workshop Stencils and Perfect Paints.

I love using those "cast offs" that never made it onto
other creations....

To bring it ALL TOGETHER,
I sprayed the entire Petaloo flower cluster with
Crushed Shells ~ Glimmer Mist.

I pulled out my stash of Tim Holtz ~ Alpha Parts
for my 4 Words!

There you have it.....

Recently, I've been working like crazy on crafty projects....one day while cleaning up my crafting space, I came across a BUNCH of 'tovers..... you know the "pieces parts" that get pulled out or created that NEVER make it onto your creation. That is the basis for my canvas.

I began with a Canvas Corp Brands Natural Canvas,
some OHHH SOOO FUN new products I've been working with....PERFECT PAINTS!
and one of my FAVORITE Templates ~ Garden Gate ~ TCW382.

I applied the texture mediums through the template, when dry I applied a bit of Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Crushed Shells.

…..wicked nice paper!
Today you by Lynne Forsythe
I used TCW487s ~ Alhambra Stencil

….love this stuff too!
Today you by Lynne Forsythe
When the embossing paste had dried,
I gave the tag a good spritz of Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist.
Isn’t it awesome how it just seeped into the
crackled embossing paste!!!
Today you by Lynne Forsythe
Here is my finished tag….
a bit of gauze,
a piece of chippie

Today you by Lynne Forsythe
I loaded up my palette knife with Glass Beads
and randomly smeared it through the Crosshatched Fragment.
Then, I liberally spritzed the tag with Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist,
when it had dried.
Today you by Lynne Forsythe
I randomly stamped on the tag

Makin' Tags......

Did you know The Crafter's Workshop has a NEW RELEASE of stencils??
I’m having a BLAST playing with them!
I’m also having a blast playing with some NEW TEXTURES
with my NEW STENCILS!!
Today, I am going to share with you
2 of the 4 tags I recently created!
I cut my tags from Core’dinations Heavyweight 110lb White Cardstock.
This paper is AMAZING….
it’ll take all the liquid you can give it and pretty much
retain it’s shape!!
For my first tag I used
TCW494s ~ Trapezoid Flower.
I applied both Wendy Vecchi ~ Metallic Gold Embossing and Crackled Texture Pastes
through the stencil.
When dry, I then spritzed the tag with Tattered Angels ~ Kraft Glimmer Mist
and painted on a bit of Tattered Angels ~ Blue Bubbles Glimmer Mist
over the Wendy Vecchi ~ Crackled texture paste.
I then ran a bit of Wendy Vecchi/Ranger ~ Watering Can Archival Ink over the entire tag face.
Everyday....by Lynne Forsythe
When dry, I then embellished the tag with Petaloo ~ Textured Elements flowers
and Tattered Angels ~ Mistable Papers
diecut using Die~Namites Dies ~ Large Ivy.
Everyday....by Lynne Forsythe
For my second tag….
I used TCW486s ~ Labyrinth Stencil
and a bit of Wendy Vecchi ~ Translucent Embossing Paste.
I then created a tie-dye effect by spritzing
various Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mists and letting them run together.
Once again…..
I embellished the tag with
Petaloo Botanica Collection flowers, burlap and a bit of jute
I hope you have enjoyed my tags….
’cause I sure had fun making them!!
Make sure to stop back later for my other 2 tags.

I hope you enjoyed my tags.....
I am entering them into the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge!!

Chase the DREAM!

I really had a FUN TIME creating this project....
I had no idea what I was doing....
.....or where it would take me!

This is how I created the background paper.
I began with a piece of white cardstock.
Then, I laid down a layer of Ranger's ~ Multi Medium
all over the cardstock with a fan brush.
I placed Petaloo ~ Embossed Daisies ~ Tangerine and Tulip Yellow
randomly all over the cardstock and dried it.
Next, using a fan brush,
I brushed on a layer of Ranger ~ Dina Wakely ~ White Gesso
not completely covering the flowers.
When dry, I applied
Wendy Vecchi's ~ embossing paste ~ translucent
I dried the paper throughly.
Then I spritzed the paper with
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Aquamarine.
Dried the paper again and spritzed the paper with
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Candlelight.
When dry, I used TCW ~ Kasia's Letter Template again,
this time applying the White Gesso
with a Stencil Brush.
Creating this....

I cut the paper to size to cover my
"Chunky ATC"

I then embellished the top and front of
my "Chunky ATC".

I had left over "created" paper and pieces parts so, I made this card.

I just love Tattered Angels ~ Mistable Papers ~ Linen
colored with
cut with Die~Namites Dies ~ Large Ivy die.

Hope you enjoyed my creative journey!!!

MOTHERHOOD.....

Recently, my daughter had a WONDERFUL little baby boy.....
but his arrival has been full of challenges....
I wanted to maker her something special...
and this is what I came up with!

For my canvas I used

and

Both dies were cut from Tattered Angels Mistable papers...
Seersucker and White Linen.

I love these papers because it allows me to
customize the colors of my die cuts for the piece I am creating.
I colored the Heart Leaves Swirl with
Tattered Angels ~ Chalkboard ~ Apricot Nectar and
Large Ivy ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Key Lime Pie.

Also, I didn't use the Large Ivy as a whole diecut.
When I designed this die....
I did so with ideas of using as a whole
or as pieces parts!

PS.....my daughter loves her canvas of encouragement!!!
