Makin' Tags.....part 2

Hi peeps
thank you for stopping by for part 2 of “MAKIN’ TAGS”.

As mentioned in my previous post,
I created tags using Core’dinations ~ Heavyweight 110lb ~ White Cardstock.
…..wicked nice paper!

I used TCW487s ~ Alhambra Stencil
and a bit of Wendy Vecchi ~ crackled texture paste.
….love this stuff too!

When the embossing paste had dried,
I gave the tag a good spritz of Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist.
Isn’t it awesome how it just seeped into the
crackled embossing paste!!!

Here is my finished tag….
a bit of gauze,
a piece of chippie
a Die~Namites Dies ~ Large Ivy and
some Petaloo Darjeeling and Penny Lane flowers
and a few words of inspiration!

Have you seen the Fragments by The Crafter’s Workshop??
This is the first time I have ever used one….
I especially LOVE……
TCW2050 Crosshatched Frags!

I loaded up my palette knife with Glass Beads
and randomly smeared it through the Crosshatched Fragment.
Then, I liberally spritzed the tag with Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist,
when it had dried.

I randomly stamped on the tag
with a stamp from Viva LasVegaStamps ~ Pound ‘o Rubber.
Finished it off with a chippie
and some Petaloo Darjeeling and Botanica flowers.

Makin' Tags......

Did you know The Crafter's Workshop has a NEW RELEASE of stencils??

I’m having a BLAST playing with them!
I’m also having a blast playing with some NEW TEXTURES
with my NEW STENCILS!!

Today, I am going to share with you
2 of the 4 tags I recently created!

I cut my tags from Core’dinations Heavyweight 110lb White Cardstock.
This paper is AMAZING….
it’ll take all the liquid you can give it and pretty much
retain it’s shape!!

For my first tag I used
TCW494s ~ Trapezoid Flower.
I applied both Wendy Vecchi ~ Metallic Gold Embossing and Crackled Texture Pastes
through the stencil.
When dry, I then spritzed the tag with Tattered Angels ~ Kraft Glimmer Mist
and painted on a bit of Tattered Angels ~ Blue Bubbles Glimmer Mist
over the Wendy Vecchi ~ Crackled texture paste.

I then ran a bit of Wendy Vecchi/Ranger ~ Watering Can Archival Ink over the entire tag face.

When dry, I then embellished the tag with Petaloo ~ Textured Elements flowers
and Tattered Angels ~ Mistable Papers
diecut using Die~Namites Dies ~ Large Ivy.

For my second tag….

I used TCW486s ~ Labyrinth Stencil
and a bit of Wendy Vecchi ~ Translucent Embossing Paste.
I then created a tie-dye effect by spritzing
various Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mists and letting them run together.

Once again…..
I embellished the tag with
Petaloo Botanica Collection flowers, burlap and a bit of jute

MOTHERHOOD.....

Recently, my daughter had a WONDERFUL little baby boy.....

but his arrival has been full of challenges....
I wanted to maker her something special...
and this is what I came up with!

For my canvas I used

Die~Namites ~ Heart Leaves Swirl

and

Die~Namites ~ Large Ivy

Both dies were cut from Tattered Angels Mistable papers...

Seersucker and White Linen.

I love these papers because it allows me to

customize the colors of my die cuts for the piece I am creating.

I colored the Heart Leaves Swirl with

Tattered Angels ~ Chalkboard ~ Apricot Nectar and

Large Ivy ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Key Lime Pie.

Also, I didn't use the Large Ivy as a whole diecut.

When I designed this die....

I did so with ideas of using as a whole

or as pieces parts!

PS.....my daughter loves her canvas of encouragement!!!

IT'S DADS AND GRADS WEEK

What Dad wouldn't want a Layout to Celebrate Father's Day??!?!? 

 As I am still on my quest of creating "Manly Layouts" 

 I chose to use the Quick Quotes Serendipity 

to create a layout of my ever changing Grandson....

Now I have to say.... 

the Blue and Purple papers are gorgeous... but for a boy layout?? 

The way I resolved the "color" issue.... 

was to add Kraft color, by use of paper...

 I think it was the PERFECT solution HOW about YOU??

nestled in the mix! Accented with die cut Ivy Leaves.

with a little bit of mischief in his eyes!!?!?!?

....a grateful heart

I love trying new things with new products....
I just purchased a couple of jars Wendy Vecchi/Studio 490
embossing paste ~ translucent and black.

I began my creation with a Giant Tag ~ Kraft.

I ran a bit of Black Embossing Paste through
The Crafter's Workshop ~ Mini Cherry Blossoms

Then came the experimenting.....
using a palette knife I deposited two small piles of
translucent embossing paste
onto my craft matt.
I then mixed in a bit
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glam ~ Saffron and Adobe

I applied the mixtures through two different
Crafter's Workshop Stencils
Hexagons and
Harlequin
I LOVED THE RESULT!!

I spritzed the tag with
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist
Sun Sisters
Kraft
Pumpkin Pie

I finished off the tag with colored Petaloo Flowers and Foliage
a Tattered Angels ~ Tattered Tangles
and a colored Canvas Corp Burlap Heart
and a bit of wire mesh.

Here is my latest memory...
on my nieces 10th Birthday!

I have been revisiting my creative roots
....creating layouts!
The Sugar Shoppe Collection by Doodlebug
was just perfect for my MEMORY!

To begin my creative process
I used the latest sketch at
Once Upon a Sketch!

I had lots of fun creating the background...
I began with The Crafter's Workshop Stencil ~ Quatrefoil Reversed
and Wendy Vecchi's/Studio 490 ~  Crackle Texture Paste
I applied Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glaze,
one I sprayed with water to facilitate it to run down the paper,
and the other I used a straw to blow the Glaze around.

......then I began on the flower cluster.

The colors of the Doodlebug paper
allowed for a wide variety of
Petaloo Blooms to be used...
Botanica Minis
Velvet Hydrangeas
Wild Mini Blossoms
all nestled around a
beautiful
Botanica Bloom

I will cherish this MEMORY
for a very LONG TIME!

A Friend.....

Have you heard of Tattered Tangles??

They come in two different forms...
12 x 12 Printed Pages and
Tangled Packs.

I have been playing around with them....
OHH THE FUN....they are.
Especially for people like me who
DON'T DOODLE!

I have been seeing various "HEARTS" creations lately
and decided to make one myself.

I began by cutting my heart from
a Canvas Corp ~ 12 x 12 Canvas Sheet.

I then pulled out a container of
Wendy Vecchi's ~ Crackle Texture Paste
(can I just say I LOVE THIS STUFF!!)
and applied it through
The Crafter's Workshop ~ Quatrefoil Reversed

When dry, I sprayed the heart with 

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist

Blue Bubbles and Crushed Shells.
I stamped randomly on my heart
with Wendy Vecchi's Archival Ink ~ Watering Can
I then randomly applied Ranger's Multi Medium
on the heart and laid a piece of Vintage Sheet Music
over the entire heart. When it dry, I tore off
the pieces parts that weren't adhered.
I used The Crafter's Workshop ~ Harlequin and applied
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glaze ~ Pewters through it.

I altered the Petaloo ~ Darjeeling flower with a bit of

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Frost.

I also spritzed the other Darjeeling flowers with

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Blue Bubbles.

I finished off the cluster with

Die~Namites Dies ~ Summer Branch

cut from Canvas Corp ~ Kraft Paper,

then I colored it with 

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glam ~ Lime Cordial.

I then finished off my heart with a

Tattered Angels ~ Tattered Tangle ~ Love.

I first sprayed the Tattered Tangle with

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Crushed Shells

splattered on a bit of

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist ~ Blue Bubbles

finished off the coloring with

Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glaze ~ Saffron & Pewter.
