Believe in YOUR SELF!!!

Sometimes LIFE has a way
of sneaking up behind you...
and slappin' you on the back
of the head!!

Seems like I've had a few toooo many
head slaps lately....
I NEEDED to make something
to encourage myself....
...to BELIEVE IN YOUR SELF!!!

A Chunky ATC!

I colored the piece of wood...brown.
Then, I cut  a 5"strip of 7Gypsies ~  Mabango paper
 from the Serengeti Collection.
Followed by distrezzing the edges of the Mabango paper
and adhering it to the Chunky ATC.

I trimmed a piece of Canvas Corp ~ Leather paper
and adhered it to the top of the Chunky ATC.

I picked another piece of paper from
7Gypsies ~ Serengiti Collection ~ Wanyama.
I tore off a piece big enough to cover
the front of the Chunky ATC.
TIP: spritz the paper, front and back,
and help crumple the paper easier.

I created a spiral flower using
Canvas Corp ~ Burlap Sheet ~ Wheat.
I colored the outside edges of the spiral,
dried it and then rolled it into a flower.

Using the Flowering Branch die from Die~Namites Dies,
I diecut a piece of Canvas Corp ~ Kraft Cardstock,
colored it and crumpled it while I was drying it.
I thought the 7Gypsies Antique Brass Corner
just set the Chunky ATC off!!

DT Reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard

Can I just say, I am beyond excited to be apart
of the 2013 2Crafty Design Team.
What an UNBELIEVABLE opportunity
to represent such an AMAZING company and
 AMAZING product.

I utilized one of the Wrought Iron Photo Adornment
chippies and dabbed Black Embossing Paste
on for texture.

How much fun are the 1.5" Hexagons,
embellied with Cream ~ Modeling Cream,
through a Mini Hexagon Template
then added Gold and Burgundy
Precious Metal Effect Paint.
And how cute are the Folk Hearts???

I chose to cut apart the ohhhh sooo cute
"Enjoy this moment, This moment is your Life"
For my second project, I created a Chunky ATC.

To begin this project your cut up a 2" x 4"
into a 5" piece. Paint "Chunky ATC" with Gesso.
I cut up a piece of Chicken Wire Chipboard,
painted it and adhered it, randomly, around the "ATC".

I backed the Juliet's Hearts with a piece of paper
and painted it with Precious Metal Effect Paint.
So, the Juliet's Heart would pop!

Can I just say I can't get enough of the 1.5" Hexagons!!

So...what do you think of my "Chunky ATC"???

For my last project I created a card.

Spring has finally sprung here in Northern NH.
Now is the time for Flowers and Birdhouses.
And the ATC Birdhouse chippies were PERFECT!!

The little birdies are just the cutest.

There are layers and layers of texture, a little bit of Crackle,
and layers of paint on the Larinda's Flourish!!

What creation of mine would be complete without
a "flower cluster".
I hope you enjoyed my creations!

Other Products Used:
Petaloo ~ Darjeeling Flowers
Splash of Color ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint
Sand ~ Stone Effect Paste
Silk Acrylic Glaze
The Crafter's Workshop ~ 6x6 Mini Templates
Canvas Corp ~ Deco Mesh ~ Kraft Flute

Chunky ATC!!

I have to say....I had LOADS of fun creating this gift to give!!
It's a CHUNKY ATC. Chunky ATC you say....well yes!
Don't let the name scare you.
It is a 2x4 cut into 2.5" pieces and covered.

I began by using a Gold Champagne Gelato on the edges of the wood
(areas that would be exposed)
I then spritzed the Gelato with
Pearl Gold Luminarte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist to blend.

I then cut pieces of paper from the 6x6 Rejoice Paper pad.
I inked up my stamp with a Red Cherry Gelato and spritzed with water
and stamped onto my cut pieces. I also, stamped Silk Acrylic Glaze.
Then I distressed the edges.I adhered the paper pieces on
the wood with a Xyron Mega Tape Roller!!

The focal point of my ChunkyATC is the Poinsettia
cut from Canvas and Kraft Corrugated ATC.
I colored the pieces with a Red Cherry Gelato,
Gold Champagne Gelato and Silk Acrylic Glaze.
The Leaves were cut from Birch Wood ATC and colored
using Olive Vine Silk Acrylic Glaze.
