I've been creating away....I received my kit from Timeless Daydreams....OMW...the beauty of it!!! I've created two layouts and two cards....My DH pulled out some older photos of when the kiddos were younger and "suggested" I begin scrappin' them...he's sooooo SMART!! I found this AWESOME family picture taken in 1999 (we think)! Aren't we soooo cute!!!
Now I must say I truly had fun creating the embellishments for this layout!!
For the first time I got to use Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens....and oh the fun of it!!! I already was totally in love with Glimmer Mist...now just the icing on the cake!!
Nextly, I created the ornament! I've been watching Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas and it inspired me! I took a Maya Road Chipboard Ornament, ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Victoria Embossing Folder. I then, inked it using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Lastly, I applied Rock Candy Stickles to the raised areas. For a little added extra, I adhered a beautiful piece of beautiful lace.
Pink Paislee has a paper called Postcard...on there is the cutest little tree...so I just decided to use that idea to create a larger version. To accent it, I created a flower made from an old book page, a unknown paper and glimmer mist!
The rest of the yumminess is Pink Paislee and the bird is by Prima!
Hope I have inspired you to pull out some photos of the past...create some embellishments....and just have fun!!!
I ALSO HAVE A TUTORIAL ON THE BIND IT ALL BLOG!!! Check it out!!!

Our sponsor for this month is ZvA Creative...the beautiful pearl flourish just added the finishing touch to my layout. Here is my take on the sketch...
When I was chosen to be on the Let's Capture These Sketches Design team, I received my first assignment and SURPRISE....it was to create a sketch. So, I created this sketch, but I got ssssooooo excited I created a layout following the sketch to find out later, we would have monthly sponsors. Needless to say, only people visiting my blog will see my first take on my sketch....hehehehehe!!!
How about that flower.....can you believe it is made from hearts? I must tell you though...it will not fit in an album!!! Helen Croft has the best flower tutorials...I must say!!
I would SSSOOOO love it if ya'll would play along.....post a link on to this post by Saturday, December 12 and a I will draw a WINNER of a yet to be determined RAK!!!

I don't know about you but I had the most amazing Thanksgiving this year....I haven't looked forward to a holiday in quite a while....but this year...was different...I was headache free and just loving being with my family, eating taste bud tingling food and creating with my 5 year old niece Sarah!!! (I can't believe I don't have any pictures of her creations!!)
So I couldn't wait to create this layout for the next DreamGirl Challenge....
So this is the layout I came up with...
Now...I have to tell you...not sure where my head was for the last challenge...I only used ONE of the prompts/techniques/product...."A List of Ten"...I started creating and forgot all about the rest. One of the things I was supposed to do was use mixed up letters....so I carried the "Product" over to this layout!
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it!!!

So what's going on?!?!?! Let's Capture These Sketches has put up the next sketch....I had sooo much fun with this one!!! (don't I always?)
So I went leafing through my box of pictures....trying to scrap the pictures I've printed and not print anymore yet!!
I came across an AWESOME picture of my mom and I on my 46th B-day. My husband felt I needed a PARTY after all I had been through with my brain surgery!!! He's a keeper!!
So, my layout isn't exactly like the sketch but it encompasses the jist of it...and that's what SKETCHES ARE ALL ABOUT!!!
So...pull out some paper and embellies and play along....I would love to see your take on Susan's awesome Sketch!!
Now....over at DreamGirls...we just had another challenge put up... It wasn't my challenge but as usual I played along!!!
So here it is... Challenge #41
Alright, let's get this party started!
This week is a fun challenge, we want you to play along, we loved making our layouts and hope you find some inspiration in this challenge, that is what it's all about.
Prompt: "List It!" Use a 1-10 list on your layout, could be your favourite films, or reasons you love someone, or ten facts...
Technique: "Clearly yours" - using a clear scrapping element - like punched overlay etc...
Product: "Mix It Up" Mix up alphabets - use multi alpha stickers/ dies/ fonts etc etc. We cannot wait to see how you interpret this challenge!
OMW...so I JUST reread this....and I only followed the prompt....OOOOOPS....Got in a groove and missed all the rest I guess....IT'S THAT BLONDE THING AGAIN!!
AND DON'T MISS THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS GOING ON OVER AT ZUTTER ZISTERS.....MY REVEAL IS TOMORROW!!!

So, of course, there is a story behind my layout....wouldn't be me otherwise!
My mother in love sent me some pictures of my kiddos with Pop! (my husbands dad). You see....Pop passed away 2 years ago...right around Christmastime. Needless to say, the pictures made me cry as they were both taken with Pop in their very younger years...I was spending the day at a Croptopia event in Morrisville, VT to benefit the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, what better time to create this layout. Boy, I had fun with this one to say the least....enough of my ramblings...here it is!
For the layout I used:
PAPERS by Basic Grey - Wassill and
Little Yellow Bicycle.
Don't you just love the flower...here the link to the instructions.
Distress Crackle Painted, "Tarnished Brass".
Sheet music from a vintage Hymnal.
American Crafts - Thickers
Ranger - Distress Ink
Tattered Angels - Glimmer Mist - Gold
So....play along with us at Capture These Sketches...leave a link on the blog, so everyone can see your AMAZINGNESS!
