playin' with 'TOVERS!!!

I had worked on a creation for one of my design teams and
had a few 'TOVERS. Being a rainy Sunday Morning,
I decided to play.
I limited myself to using what was on my desk....
this is what I came up with!

I created the card around the 3 top hearts that were created using
The Crafter's Workshop ~ Love Post (small)
and Gelatos, which I cut out.
I found a bit of Petaloo Fancy Trim laying around
along with a few Petaloo Embellishment Brads
and a FLOWER to accent my hearts.

I also used the same stencil to apply
Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glaze ~ Sangria
to my card face.
When dry I applied a layer of Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi
crackled embossing paste.....LOVE THIS STUFF!

I applied a bit of Gelatos ~ Cotton Candy
to the edges, applied a bit of water
with a paintbrush to blend.....

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!

HAPPPPPPY MONDAY
and remember to ALWAYS
FOLLOW YOUR HEART!!!

WE.....remember MOMENTS!

Summer is in FULL SWING!
I don't know about you but I spend a lot of time outside,
fleamarkets, garage sales and other FUN outdoor events.
The last thing I want to be hauling around is my pocketbook!
I want to be free to enjoy! So I made myself a "Hip" Bag!

I pulled out a Canvas Corp Brands ~ Canvas Shoulder Bag.
Then I had one of those.....I wonder if moments!
I wonder if....I mixed Gelatos with Textile Medium
could I create an image that would permanent?!??!??!
And by golly it worked!
(not that I would put it in the wash)

I sliced of bits of Gelatoos
Tangerine
Metallic Melon
Butterscotch
and
Blueberry
and with a palette knife gently mixed in
a bit of Textile Medium creating a "paint type" mixture.
(I wish I had pictures!!)

I randomly applied the "paint type" mixture
through the Crafter's Workshop ~ Specimen Template.
When I was finished applying
I used my heat tool to dry my image.
I then used Archival Ink ~ Jet Black and
randomly stamped on my bag.

I then found a piece of vintage lace which I proceeded to color
with my "paint type" mixture
along with some vintage ric-rac!

I then cut the strap,
so the loops could go through the belt loops on my pants
and applied velcro to the inside for easy use.
I added a vintage button on the outside...
just for looks!

There you have.....my "Hip" bag!
The theme for my summer is...
We don't remember days....We remember moments!
And I'm into making MOMENTS this summer!!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog today1

creating with MISFITS!!!

As a Designer, I accumulate many “Misfits”,
pieces parts that never made it onto a creation…
flowers, leaves, textiles etc.
Every once in a while I like to have a free create time
using my “Misfits”!
Here are three ATC’s I created!

Using The Crafter’s Workshop ~ Mini Texturized Template
and Distress Markers along with a bit of spritzed water,
I created my background to my ATC’s.
Here is a close up of the ATC’s,
I just love the effect I achieved when I spritzed the
Distress Markers on the Canvas ATC’s.
HINT: Spritz the backside of the Canvas ATC’s,
especially if you will be drying with a Heat Tool.
