Paris....London....New York!

Which city conjures up your creative juices........??

I chose PARIS!!

Now....when I think of Paris....I think of the city of LOVE...or maybe it's just a Valentines Day Hangover...whatever the reason....I ran with it!

I started with G45 Curtain Call papers...#1 because I wanted to use red accents and nothing is better for that than B and W papers.....#2 because of the wonderful Paris image!!

I cut a tag using the Tag and Bookplate die. Then, I chewed it up with my handy dandy Distrezz it All....have I mentioned I LOVE THIS TOOOOL!!

I then stamped on the face of the tag with Embossing Ink and the Fabulous Flourish stamp....and dusted it with Forever Red Perfect Pearls!

Using more Curtain Call paper.....I created the Rosette!!

Now, the heart was made from Clearly for Art WhiteOut, Glue 'N Seal, Rock Candy Distress Crackle, Alcohol Inks and Fired Brick Distress Stickles! you can see how I created the heart by visiting HERE!!

I then added some FABBY Petaloo CMC flowers....dabbed with Fired Brick Distress Stickles....the tag was then accented with some metal gooodies!!

I hope I've inspired you to join us for this weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show!! Look forward to see your linked up creation......who know you could be the next recipient of this LOVELY....

another HEART lovely!

HAPPY VALENTINES
DAY!!!

I had a moment and was playing around and decided to pull out a template I had made.
(If you would like more info on how to make the template check out one of my video tutorials.)

I created the card base using a piece of Kraft Resist Paper.
I dabbed on a few splotches of Distress Stain.
I then white washed over it with watered down Gesso.

I placed the template on the card face and
dabbed on some Molding Paste. When dry I dipped my paint brush into a puddle of Distress Stain
and brushed it over the Molding Paste.

I then cut two hearts from Crinoline and
colored them with the same Distress Stain.
For effect I dry brushed on some Gesso. Gently tied a piece of string around the two hearts and tied it off.

I had wrote LOVE YOU on scraps of Kraft Resist and dry brushed Gesso on each letter!

I know...
the chocolates, cards and gifts are WONDERFUL
but LOVE....now that's the biggest gift of ALL!!

There are 3 prize packs up for grabs so make sure to follow along and have fun!!

I my creation is from this month Technique/Project kit~

3 of the boxes were created very similar.
I wet a strip of paper and crumpled it up.
When dry I adhered it to my box.

I applied Victorain Velvet and Weathered Wood Distress Stain to the flowers,
to change their appearance.

I first applied gesso to the wooden hinge, then applied Picket Fence Crackle Distress Paint.
(if you don't the Crackle paint will just flick off!) I then wiped on some Weathered Wood Distress Stain and applied Crackle Accents to seal it.
I couldn't find brads that I liked, soooooo I rubbed them in Distress Embossing Ink
then dipped them in Frayed Burlap Distress EP.
When cooled I flattened with a hammer!

The background of 4 of the boxes were made by first painting each box with Gesso.
I applied a layer of Multi Medium then squinshed up a piece of dictionary paper
into the medium. When dry, I lathered on some Weathered Wood Distress Stain.
Next came a layer of Gesso. When dry, I sanded the raised surfaces and swiped on more Weathered Wood DS. To finish off the box, I applied some Sepia Archival Ink.

Another beauty......

Love the vintage lace and faux pearls!

it's a RECIPE!!

This weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is just that....a RECIPE!

Torn edges, Distress Inks, Wings and Buttons

and I have to say this week, the Teamies knocked it out of the park!

Torn Edges you say.....well yes, I tore up a dictionary page into strips and adhered them, in a scrunched up fashion, to an ATC canvas with Multi Medium. LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff!!

When dry, I made splotches of Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Broken China Distress Stain (a liquid form of Distress Ink....right????) I used my heat tool to dry the stain, then I brushed on a layer of Gesso. It's soooo coool how the ink bleeds through creating an amazing background.

Using my Cubist Template, Embossing Ink and a bit of Lettuce Embossing Powder....I created another layer on my canvas.

Buttons.......well you can only see a bit of them, I framed the canvas with them......once again using the AMAZING Multi Medium.

Don't you just love the Butterfly (my wings)??? I used Clearly for Art WhiteOut and some Alcohol Inks and a few other ingredients.......Wendy Vecchi came up with this technique and a little birdie told me she will be sharing how to create this VERY soon!!!

So, pull out the requirement and just have fun with this one!!! Be sure to link up your creation to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog. Cause you just might be chosen to receive........THIS!!!
