It's all about........ME!!

Tuesday.......I was having a bad day.......just one of those days where it didn't seem to matter what I did...it somehow....went wrong!! I so decided to create a layout.....not for any call, submission, DT work, etc....Just cause I wanted to!!

My kids are ALWAYS taking pictures of themselves...making some weird face or sticking out their tongue but one day I came across this picture of my son and the face wasnt' too bad. He had Photoshopped it and I loved it!!!

Now, I don't know about you but GUY pages are a real struggle cause I'm all about the flowers and such. Not only a guy, but a teenage "artsy" guy! SSSSOOOOOO....I pulled out my Tattered Angels goodies....Frost and Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist, Fanciful - Glimmer Screens and Framed Fonts.

In the lower right corner, I used Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist and the large Flourish screen. With the liquid on the screen, I stamped with the screen in the upper left corner. I scrunched up the lower right corner while it was left.

When everything was dry I painted on Frost Glimmer Mist - OMGoodness....this is my FAVORITE Glimmer Mist and it's almost gone and not available any more. Oh what will I do when it is gone???

For my "GROUPING" I used vintage items....buttons, a key and a WAY COOL gear!! all stacked on a piece of black tulle.

I took one of the frames from the Framed Fonts,
and spritzed it with both colors, then I cut it in half.

I don't know about you but I LOVE THE globs of ink on the page!!

I ran all the papers through my Distrezz-it-All....have I ever said before......I LOVE THAT MACHINE??!!?!?!!!

BTW....my son loved the page...EXCEPT for the picture...go figure!!!

Your what???

The new challenge is up over at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog.......

YOUR DISTRESSED/SANDED ARTWORK

Did they say sandpaper.......I love SANDPAPER. I've not used it much lately so I was oh so happy to pull out my Tim Holtz Sanding Block and then to let the fun begin!!!

I used some Tim Holtz ~ Retro Grunge papers, a bit of Vintage lace, Hero Arts ~ paper flowers, my new FAVORITE supply... Tattered Angel Glimmer Chips, along Olive Vine and Pine Cone Glimmer Mist.......

Oh and I roughed up the edges with my Distrezz-it-All, LOVE THAT TOOL, adding the special touch to the distressed look. I crumpled, spritzed, sewed, sanded and inked..........OH THE FUN I had!

The ultimate finishing touch was the stamped verbage,

"LIFE ISN'T ABOUT
FINDING YOURSELF,
LIFE IS ABOUT
CREATING YOURSELF."

I love this saying, right where I am in life, from the Tim Holtz stamp set ~ Mini Classics.

So......put your thinking cap on and join us at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog....you might just win a Prize or a Blinkie to proudly display on your blog!!!
Also, check out the other Design Teamies creations.........A-MAZING!!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Sunday was my 18th Anninversary.....18 wonderful years to my best friend and biggest cheerleader. As I was out of town for the first time in 18 years....I wanted to leave him with a gift to let him know how much I LOVE HIM!!!

In the creative process, I did learn a very important lesson, always apply Gesso to a untreated wood surface if you want your paint to stick. I guess didn't know that so, parts of the Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint peeled off....it ended up creating a rather interesting effect which I really liked. I then, applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the exposed wood areas. I colored the White Prima Flowers with various Distress Inks. Using cardboard and Tim Holtz Hardware Die, I cut the hinges and keyhole and distressed them with Vintage Photo. BTW...the leaves are from Wendy Vecchi's stamp set Ticket to Art. I cut them out of cardboard, inked and Distress Stickled them.....I like em!

Head on over to Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog and join in on the fun!!! The prize this week is a $25 Gift Certificate to Simon Says Stamp.....and ohhhhhhh the goodies they have....did you see they have Tim Holtz new products in the store!!!! AAAAAHHH!!

I LOVE YOU WALTER FORSYTHE!!!

My favorite season is Fall, so I chose to create a Thanksgiving table decoration. I started out with  decorative pumpkins.

All of the fabric on the larger where neutral color and colored with Distress Reinker Mixtures, Mini Mister, Distress Reinker and Perfect Pearls. Using my Tattered Floral Die, I created flowers using multiple mediums, cardboard, fabric, coffee filters. They also were colored using my Distress Reinker Mixtures, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Dried Marigold.

For the smaller pumpkin, I stamped on a piece of linen with the Tree Design Block, then spritzed the fabric with Rusty Hinge. Once again I used a variety of flowers and a piece of colored seam binding.

My blog hop giveaway is a Distress Reinker, Perfect Pearls and a Mini Mister....so you too can create such goodness!! So....DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE A COMMENT

OK so here is my clue......

Love Ya!!

I spent a few moments this morning in blogland, before my kitting and instruction writing for an upcoming class....and ended up at Studio L3....a pretty cool place dedicated to Tim Holtz book, A Compendium of Curiosities. This week the focus is on page 65.....Grungepaper Flowers.....OH I LOVE GRUNGEPAPER!  So, I decided to play along....

I am very addicted to all things Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge with the addition of Crushed Olive and Pumice Stone (my first go at this color!)......oh what yummolish colors for these flowers!! Do you see my Grungepaper Roses nestled in there???

As we are entering the Fall season, my thoughts drift to Thanksgiving and the season of Thankfulness!!! I created this tag because I am THANKFUL for my faithful followers!! and just wanted to say Love Ya!! your wonderful comments and words of encouragement! Thank You!!

Makes sure to stop back by tomorrow after 10:00 am EST as things will be "A HOPPIN' " and you won't want to miss it!!!

This is my last post showcasing my creations for the ZutterZisters......(booo hooo) but this won't be my last post of my creations using their fabulous products....I can tell you that!! My Zisters are such a creative bunch and I will miss working and communicating with them!

So let's get to it....I have been playing with Luminarte H20's and oh the fun I've been having!! I stamped, painted and colored with them and was thoroughly impressed with this product!! I also used Creative Imaginations Real Wood for the background and flower!! I then adhered my creation to a CoverAll....Speaking of which....did you know there is a sale on CoverAlls going on....do check it out!!

Another little discussed Zutter tool is the DreamKutz....cut your inside pages with amazing precision and speed!! A must have! And as always....the DISTREZZ-IT-ALL!!! LOVE THAT THING!! How did I ever create without it!
