it's a PAAARRRTAAAY!!!

When I think of the 4th of July....

I think of parades, food and family gatherings! 

Sooooo.....I created this "WELCOME" banner

just for this occasion!

I pulled out my stash of "Party in the USA" collection by Reminisce,

some banner goodies from Canvas Corp....

and a pile of COLOR ME CRAZY flowers!!

I must say.....
I had SOOOO much fun creating this banner!!
I was tearing....
crumpling...
spritzing....
and dippin!!!

I love how I was able to customize
the color of the CMC~ 3-D foam letter stickers,
they turned out just PERFECT!!

and the flowers.........just divine!!

Graduation is in the Air!!

'Tis the time of year for graduations, parties and gifts.
For this wonderful occasion....
I created a gift box and card!



I  painted the gift box,
sanded the high points,
and inked the high points!

I rubbed the paint onto the
Glass Ornament Pins.
Soooo PRETTY! 

  

The Chipboard Flourish and
Darjeeling Flowers are just perfect
accents on my gift box! 

Keeping with the same style,
I created the card....

June Technique Tag

Good Saturday Morning to you!!!

Today I will be showing you
how I created the paper I used
to cover my "manly" Trinket Box
Hope you enjoy it!

A Swirlydoos ~ Imagination  Lab Tutorial!!

Afters seeing the GORGEOUS papers from this months Kit

and the Trinket Box......I decided to go very "manly"

with my box.....

NO FLOWERS...NO BLING!!

can I tell you ....it was no easy feat!

So......without any more jibber jabber.....

here it is!!

Howdy Peeps.....
Can I just say I had SOOOO much fun creating this project!!!

The focus of this months challenge ~ One Product ~ 3 Ways
 .......is "Existencils"
on the Creative Imaginations blog

I chose to showcase my stencils on a Canvas Corp Chunky Canvas.



I used Multi Medium with the damask stencil
on the Canvas Corp ~ Pocket Tag to create a resist.

I then spritzed it with Sea Foam ~ Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist.
I dried the canvas pocket,
then spritzed the edges with water and
dipped them into puddles of
Narmonrado ~ Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist.



I then did a little concocting.........
Dragon Wing ~ Primary Elements and Molding Paste
through the Branch stencil from the Nature's Stencil Kit.

Using a small paint brush,
I dabbed on a bit of Sweet Whisper ~ Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist
into the centers of the Petaloo ~ Pearl Daisies.



The branches almost look real!!



 To finish off the Canvas....
I sprayed the edges of the canvas with water
and dipped them in Narmorado ~ Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist.
I chose the words...
Dream....Live....Experience Life!
to finish it off!

Hello peeps.......can I just say I am ECSTATIC to have been asked
to be a part of the Creative Imaginations Design Team!!

My creative path has lead me in many directions

and now my latest journey
in the paper crafting industry!!!

I began this journey about 5 years ago when I walked into my
Local Scrapbook Store! I got to chatting with the owner
and before I knew it......I had a job!!
I had only created 3 scrapbook pages in my whole life
(wish I knew where they were now!!)

Now, I am the type of person....
when I jump in....
I do it whole heartedly!!
soooo....I set out to learn anything and everything I could.
I began with scrapbook pages....
moved to card making,
then jumped into the
Altered Art/Mixed Media realm.

When I'm creating....
I love to rip it, crumple it and ink it....
almost always with a flower involved!!!
I love to try new things.....
 sometimes they are a success
and sometimes not so much!!
But what I learn in my creative trials
I like to share with others!!

and I am SOOOOOO looking forward to
sharing this journey with YOU!!

TEXTURE.....AHHHHHH!!!

Today will be my last post with

Simon Says Stamp and Show

It is with GREAT sadness....

but MUCH excitement

as to....what the future holds!!

What's the challenge you say......

BRING ON THE TEXTURE!!!!

I began with a Watercolor ATC.

I used LOTS of different
Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist Color
and had fun!!

I then mixed Molding Paste with Hot Cinnamon Primary Elements.....and using my Cubist stencil....had at it!
Isn't it JUST YUMMMMY!

I wrapped my ATC with Tissue Tape....added a layer of Tissue Paper adhered with Multi Medium. 

The focal point of my 

TEXTURE PACKED ATC...

is the Grunge Paper Rose....

I have a tutorial on how it was made

(if your interested!!)

I backed my Rose with a piece of Burlap and a big of black Twine (goodies from Canvas Corp!!)

To top off my little ditty I added the amazing Word Band.....

Live the Life You've Imagined....

and that is what I am doing!!!

I want to thank ALL OF MY FAITHFUL followers!! Don't worry....I'm not going away...just down a different path! The WONDERFUL gals over at Simon Says Stamp.com and last but not least...my FANTABULOUSLY creative TEAMIES!! It has been a JOY and INSPIRATION to design with you...and yes there are tears!!

Petaloo/Tim Holtz

Wanted to share with you my post for the Petaloo/Tim Holtz week!!!

I chose Tim Holtz ~ Paper Stash ~ Kraft Resist paper
which just complimented
the Late Spring Darjeeling flowers SOOOOO wonderfully!!

I cut a frame from a piece of black Kraft~Core
from the Nostalgic Collection.
Do you see the Color Me Crazy Chipboard
the PERFECT addition to my card and canvas!!

I added a bit of Crackle Paint
to help with the grungieness of the card!



For my canvas, I used the backside of the leftover
Kraft Resist paper! A bit of spritzing and scrunching....
And I ended up with a WONDERFUL Mother's Day gift!
 (which by the way......my mom LOVED!!!)
