only.......A WORD......

that is SUCH AN IMPOSSIBILITY!! I am not a person of few words!!! .......but alas that is the challenge over at 

Simon Says Stamp and Show!! 

(and I didn't doooo tooo well with that!!)

I started my project out with the word

"LIVE"

(it's my life theme right now)

but it seemed so alone without it's friends

"LAUGH" and "LOVE"

cause that's what life is ALL ABOUT!!

NOW......truth be told......this project began with a piece of cardboard that came in a box we had at work.....I started the process of ripping and tearing.....crumbling and inking......

OH SO GOOD FOR THE SOUL!!

Then I pulled out some Canvas Corp Goodies........

the Burlap Tag (part of the red flower), 

Handmade 12 x 12 paper 

and of course the Canvas!!

Followed by several Sizzix dies.......

I just love the "distress" look of the Fabulous Flourish Stamp with Embossing Ink and White UTEE!

I tried something with "LOVE"
....I heat embossed it with White UTEE and before it cooled, I stamped the large grid background stamp from the Flower Art stamp set into the UTEE. (be careful with this as it did leave a bit on the stamp which I was able to pick off!!)

and there you have it
"A WORD"

SOMMMMMME METAL!!

I have absolutely no idea where I got the lantern from but it grabbed my attention and it's METAL.

I added some wire mesh to the glass on two sides.

I pulled out my box of PRIMA GOODNESS and began to create....I disassembled flowers and reassembled them to my liking.....colored the Craftable flowers to the colors I needed.

I love using Ten Seconds Studio metal and a border punch....oh the gorgeous things that can be created!!

and it's time for another challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show.......

this week the challenge is to show you "Distressed/Torn Edges"

Now, it can't get any better than that......for sure!!

I chose to take my daughters High School Graduation Announcements and
make her a piece of Wall Art. This is what the original looked like.

She overcame SOOO many obstacles to become a 2011 Graduate 

I wanted to make her something to keep forever!!

This is what I created.........

I put Glossy Accents on the flourishes to give the Bazzill some body. 

I choose the Butterfly page from my Paper Stash as it is now time for her to spread her wings and fly.

I used a page from the dictionary with words like Happy, Happiness etc.

Do you see the distressed edges....created by using the Distrezz It All......love that little machine!!

The flowers were cut from Crinoline and colored with various combos of Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. Scrunched and layered, accented with a Kaiser Pearl. Everything was adhered using the AMAZING MULTI PURPOSE CAN STICK MOST EVERYTHING FOREVER......Multi Medium.

the catch........

stamp with anything other than ink - ie: paint, perfect pearl water, glimmer mist etc...

I spritz my stamp with a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls and stamped on the cardstock.

The prize up for grabs this month is a $15 store gift certificate!

All creations must be uploaded to the gallery and linked back to the appropriate

Hero Arts ~ Real Garden Petals!! because my mood is ALL ABOUT green growing things!! 

Flowers.....Flowers and More Flowers.....

I created a Grungepaper Rose, a video tutorial is available, and highlighted it with Terra Cotta ~ Dimensional Pearls and colored it a Wild Honey Reinker Mixture, Wild Honey Reinker and Mini Mister. 

A little bit of stamping, some Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint and a Metal Corner....oh the BEAUTY.

I wanted to share a bit of a tutorial on "Watercolor Stamping"

I inked the stamps with Wild Honey, a bit of Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress ink. 

I mixed up some Pearl Water Reinker, Mini Mister, Perfect Pearl of choice (a bit heavy handed) and water.

Then I spritzed the inked stamps with the Pearl Water and stamped onto my paper of choice.

With my Heat it tool, I dried the image.

See the shimmery yumminess of the Perfect Pearls........love this technique.

So.......peeps.....pull out a stamp or two and HAVE SOME FUN!!
