Whoo hoo...

OK Girlies....here is the first sketch for the Capture These Sketches DT....and I couldn't wait to create a layout...even though it's not my team...I STILL HAD TO PLAY ALONG!

The sketch was created by Ann...

So, of course, there is a story behind my layout....wouldn't be me otherwise!

My mother in love sent me some pictures of my kiddos with Pop! (my husbands dad). You see....Pop passed away 2 years ago...right around Christmastime. Needless to say, the pictures made me cry as they were both taken with Pop in their very younger years...I was spending the day at a Croptopia event in Morrisville, VT to benefit the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, what better time to create this layout. Boy, I had fun with this one to say the least....enough of my ramblings...here it is!

For the layout I used:
PAPERS by Basic Grey - Wassill and
Little Yellow Bicycle.
Don't you just love the flower...here the link to the instructions.

Chipboard by Fancy Pants painted with
Distress Crackle Painted, "Tarnished Brass".

Sheet music from a vintage Hymnal.

American Crafts - Thickers

Ranger - Distress Ink

Tattered Angels - Glimmer Mist - Gold

So....play along with us at Capture These Sketches...leave a link on the blog, so everyone can see your AMAZINGNESS!

I just got your comment :) Yep if they are having problems with warping. Have them spray the back of the paper with plain water quickly after the spray the front and set it under a book or something else heavy. That or if you dry it quickly with a gun it doesn't have time to warp. :) I tried t go over there, I'll try again
