one color......ANY COLOR!!

Well folks.......

it's that time of the week!! Simon Says Stamp and Show has a new challenge...

ONE COLOUR.....ANY COLOUR!!

Now......I have a thing for black and ALWAYS HAVE! SO, I knew exactly where to start for this challenge. I went right to my Graphic45 papers. The thing I LOVE about this company is.....they use the same color palette in all their collections! So the beautiful papers from one line can be mixed with another!!

From there.....I had no idea except for the fact that I need to clean up my work surface before I could even begin this project.....it was a COMPLETE DISASTER AREA. In doing so I came across pieces parts that just seemed to just go together.....

A single chip board heart which I painted with Traditional Tan acrylic paint and stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink.

I found a peeled off piece of cardboard from a diecut Sewing Room Dressform. I inked around the edges with Black Soot and set about to create her dress.  I found a punch that fit JUST PERFECTLY to create a "little black dress"! Added a touch of vintage lace a and a small piece of black velvet ribbon. And she was dressed to kill.

I also came across a Canvas Corp Mini Circle...which just went perfectly!!

Amongst the mess was a piece of Core'dinations cardstock which I proceeded to emboss! I then used my Handy Dandy Sander to hit the high points. When the color core was exposed I pulled out a bottle of Distress Stain and ran it over the exposed areas.

The whole card was finished off by roughing up the edges with my Distrezz it All.

OK....so what color first popped into your head....that you could create a little ditty with!!

We would love to see it over at Simon Says Stamp and Show. So Link IT Up!! and who knows you could end up winning a SHOPPING spree.....now who doesn't love that!!

So beautiful, Lynne! The dress is amazing and that embossed dark panel on the right reminds me of a privacy screen one might duck behind to try on the dress. It goes perfectly!
