Got a minute.....

Tis the season....to be creative!! I have to tell you I've been cranking out the Christmas goodies!! Think I like this season?? And so have the Design Team over at SIMON SAYS STAMP!! The challenge this week is.......DISTRESS INK!!

I used the Fantabulous Night Divine by Creative Imaginations/IOD, Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die, Forest Moss and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Stickles, Tiny Attacher, Ink Blending Tool, Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium, Petaloo Berry Picks, vintage buttons, jingle bells, grapevine wreath and Christmas gold netting.

Now, you may want to grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa as this post is a bit long, but it does go by quickly....cause I want you to be able to create this little goodie tooo!!

So, grab your supplies and let's get creating!!

You will need to cut pieces of paper 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" of three different patterned papers,
5 green, 4 of one red and 5 of another.

Ink the edges of the green leaves with Forest Moss Distress Ink or the ink of your choice.

Trim off the bottom of the 4 like leaves.

Ink the edges of all the red leaves with Aged Mahogany.

Next Stickle the edges of the leaves, Fired Brick on red leaves Peeled Paint of green leaves.

Fold over the bottom edge of the leaf and staple.

Repeat the above process with all leaves.

Sorry, this photo is blurry (didn't find out till too late!)
Arrange/adhere the green petals on a circle by placing a dab of Multi Medium
on the back of each leaf petal.

Continue the same process with 5 red leaf petals.

Finish with the final 4 leaf/petals and finish off with a vintage button.

Arrange the flowers on the a grapevine wreath.
Accent with Berry Picks, gold ribbon, and jingle bells.

(so much prettier outside)

Happy...Happy...Happy.......

What Ever Makes You Happy!!!

This is the theme this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog.....

Do you think you can guess what makes me HAPPY.....I'll give you three tries......
So, what did you guess.......If you guessed FLOWERS you would be right!!

But this week I made my flower with a twist........I used Tim Holtz Tattered Leaf Die.

I cut 14 beech/birch leaves from a cotton fabric. The 9 red petals were colored using Barn Door, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany. The 5 green leaves were colored with Shabby Shutter and Peeled Paint.

The petals/leaves were accented using Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. The flower center created using Tim Holtz Baubles.

I created a tutorial on how to created these little beauties........
Now if you are not a person who likes to get messy this may not be for you!!

FRIENDS.......

As you predicted.........I had posted this photo on Facebook, of the fun we had over this past holiday weekend!! I must have taken over a hundred pictures of these girls as they played in the lake at Boulder Beach in Groton, VT. The day was hot and the water refreshing!!

As you know....I am a flower freak and am on a "MISTY" binge!! so why would I veer from my path!! I pulled out my coffee filters, the cone kind, as they are thicker and better to work with, my Reinker Mixture Misters and the most AMAZING Tattered Floral Die by Tim Holtz!!! I am having just WAY to much fun with this little ditty!!

Add some vintage buttons, Prima E-bling and a bit of "MISTED" ribbon and you have an awesome cluster!!

Now, I stumbled upon the most JAW DROPPING laser diecuts by the Dusty Attic. I was able to locate an online store here in the States that carry their products....Stay True to God! and let me tell you...they are worth every penny!!! Gorgeous...Gorgeous...Gorgeous!!

Do you see that FABULOUS keyhole....aaaahhh!! another of Tim's dies was used for the journaling!!

So, there you have it....and YOU PREDICTED IT!!

Primaliscious Cards....

Wow, so my day began at 3:30 am with a task that I ASSUMED would be a simple one....but turned out to be far from it!!! My daughter and hubby are headed to Maryland for his middle daughters wedding....we did the usual...called AAA to get a Triptik and maps...ALL LOOKED GOOD. So, this AM I was going to print out directions from the hotel to the place the wedding is being held, simple enough.... To my surprise...there are TWO BOONSBOROs in MD....can you believe it....and guess what the Triptik was to the WRONG ONE....which was over 3 hours away from the right one. Boy am I glad I checke as they would have been TOTALLY lost and would have missed tonights rehearsal....SOOOOO needless to say...I SAVED THE DAY and the trip!! I keep calling to check and see how they are doing as my wonderful daughter is not the best navigator in the world!!!

So, as I was up SSSSSSSOOOOOO early I decided to create a few cards as my card stash is getting a bit low!! Here is the first one I created.....Prima Gunge-o-lisciousness!!! I had sooo much fun with this one and it's very simple!!

The bow is made out of a torn piece of muslin....papers and flowers are by none other that the amazing PRIMA!! Add a little Gesso, Distress inks and my toooo gooo tooo TOOL....the DISTREZZ  IT ALL! and I have to say....I love the effect I got after I inked the base Bazzill card then ran it through the Distrezz it All, how it exposed the lighter color!!

Card number two....I wanted to get a little cutsie with this one...step away from my dark grungy colors.

I never can quite get away from the grungy inky look though....but this was fun!! with all the pink and pearls going on!!

Lastly, here is card number three......I went a little MIST happy to say the least!! but something cool happened that I really liked...after I punched and sprayed the PRIMA paper with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist, I dried it with my heat tool....and it curled on the edges...which I decided I really liked!!!

The center, part of an Innoscence Flower has been colored with Dried Marigold Reinker Mixture...I sprayed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist then dipped the petals into pool of Reinker Mixture I had on my Craft Mat. Wetting the flower helped the Reinker Mixture to wick up into the petals nicely!!

Well I'm off to make a phone call to see how the "Travelers" progress is going!! Have a great weekend!!

PS....the Reinker Mixture is made by adding one dropper full of Distress Reinker Ink into a Mini Mister, adding the Perfect Pearls of your choice and then filling most of the remainder of the Mini Mister with water. You don't want to fill it to the top because when you put the sprayer in...it WILL overflow!! Shake it up and away you go.....I love making these as they match the inks I use on my creations....a nice touch!!
