Thank You......THANK YOU!

HI PEEPS.....
I had the needed to make a few
THANK YOU cards....

Every month a new sketch will be introduced....
the sketch can be interpreted as a card, layout or altered piece!

You need to use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.
Link your blog post, using Inlinkz, to the Die~Namites Die blog.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants
for a $25 Gift Certificate to the Die~Namites Dies

Here is my take on the sketch....

Die~Namites Dies April Sketch Challenge

I pulled out a few pieces of patterned paper from
Marion Smith's  ~ Motley and Never Grow Up Collections.
I began with the Self Portrait as the card base.

I placed the Crafter's Workshop stencil ~ Cityscape
and applied Picked Raspberry ~ Distress Stain
through the stencil.

I then pulled out Mini Ledger Stencil
and applied Golden ~ Molding Paste
and dried it.

I applied Peeled Paint ~ Distress Stain
through the Paradise Stencil.
(I loved that it bled under the stencil!!)

Using various Marion Smith papers
I die~cut several

I colored one of "Nana's Flowers" with
Picked Strawberries ~ Distress Stain and
Peeled Paint ~ Distress Stain and then
spritzed it with a Gold Mist.

I used the second die~cut of Nana's Flowers
to fill in the die~cut areas of the painted die~cut.

I then colored a few Petaloo ~ Mini Pearl Daisies
with a smidge of Picked Raspberry ~ Distress Stain
and applied them to the die~cut Nana's Flowers.

I had also cut out

which I ended up not using it on my "sketch" card
but created a second card with the
left~over pieces parts....

I used the "left~over" Nana's Flowers
as the backdrop for
the colored Beautiful Flowers.

I just LOVE how the patterned paper mixes so well
with the Picked Raspberries ~ Distress Stain.

I DO hope you will pull out a few of your
Die~Namites Dies and Play ALONG with US!

another HEART lovely!

HAPPY VALENTINES
DAY!!!

I had a moment and was playing around and decided to pull out a template I had made.
(If you would like more info on how to make the template check out one of my video tutorials.)

I created the card base using a piece of Kraft Resist Paper.
I dabbed on a few splotches of Distress Stain.
I then white washed over it with watered down Gesso.

I placed the template on the card face and
dabbed on some Molding Paste. When dry I dipped my paint brush into a puddle of Distress Stain
and brushed it over the Molding Paste.

I then cut two hearts from Crinoline and
colored them with the same Distress Stain.
For effect I dry brushed on some Gesso. Gently tied a piece of string around the two hearts and tied it off.

I had wrote LOVE YOU on scraps of Kraft Resist and dry brushed Gesso on each letter!

I know...
the chocolates, cards and gifts are WONDERFUL
but LOVE....now that's the biggest gift of ALL!!

Canvas Corp Goodness!!!

Can I just say........I LOVE the Black and Kraft paper by Canvas Corp. As soon as I got my hot little hands on them I knew exactly
what I wanted to do.

Being from the North Country.....the flowers are all gone.....the leaves have fallen and it looks rather barren. Sooooo to help get through this time I wanted to create a
floral wreath to bring life into my home!

To create all this floral goodness.....I gathered up a sundry different Sizzix dies including
Tim's Tattered Floral die, some Distress Stains and Perfect Pearl Mists.

I diecut flowers from the amazing Black and Kraft papers.
I cut into the smallest flower to create little petals.

Using Distress Stains, I colored both sides of the diecut flowers.

I then crumpled the flowers.

I layered and adhered the flowers together.
Then spritzed them with Perfect Pearls Mist.

I also used a bit of burlap around the grapevine wreath and some fabby white cording.....
more Canvas Corp goodies!!!
Hope you've enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did creating it!!!
