LCOM HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP

WELCOME TO THE .............

I have been so wonderfully invited to join this bunch of talented women
for this WONDERFUL OCCASION....
Now.....my part in the blog hop is a bit different!!
(if you are just stopping by....
head over to the Let's Capture Our Memories blog to begin the Blog Hop!!)

I am going to give you a tutorial on how I made this coffee filter flower for my card created from Sandi's AWESOME sketch.

To make this little ditty I used the Spellbinders ~ Eyelet Circles Die

cut a #2 circle (#1 being the largest) from a piece of patterened paper
and a #3 circle from coffee filters (I stacked about 6 layers high)

I created 3 Reinker Mixtures
(they consist of a Mini Mister with a dropper full of Reinker Ink, a pinch of Perfect Pearls and water)

I spritzed (1) Spun Sugar
(2) Victorian Velvet
(1) Weathered Wood
of each of the coffee filter Eyelet Circles

THE KEY TO  THESE AWESOME FLOWERS
when drying the pieces MAN HANDLE (crumple) them up!!
DON'T BE AFRAID!!

Place a dab of white glue in the center of the Spun Sugar Eyelet Circle
Pinch at glue, from the back.

Cut a hole in the center of the (3) remaining colored Eyelet Circles.
Run the white glue around the hole.
Place point, of previous flower grouping, through hole.

Repeat process till flower is complete.
(You may use as many layers as you wish!!)
Cut petals into patterned paper Eyelet Circle at each scallop.

Ink edges of patterned paper flower.
Manhandle (crumple) it......Once again......don't be AFRAID!!

Place a dab of white glue in center of patterned paper flower
place coffee filter flower in glue. (trim point off if needed!!)

and there you have it......
CREATE THIS LITTLE DITTY and use it on a project.....and you get ANOTHER POINT!!

You have until Sunday, January 23rd at 11pm EST to complete all 8 sketches.
You'll get a point for each sketch you complete and a point for each secret element you get correct.
You can also get points for completing the card organizer and the flower tutorial.  You don't have to use the birthday theme if you don't want to.  Grab a blinkie when you are finished with all the sketches and tell us you are finished at the forum
Winners will be announced on January 25th...a FIRST and SECOND prize.

SO.....BEFORE YOU LEAVE.......make sure to leave a comment for the opportunity
to win a WAY COOL RAK!!
(not sure what that will be yet....but I promise you it will be GOOD)

I will announce the winner here on my blog on January 25th.

NOW HEAD ON OVER TO SANDI'S BLOG
guaranteed to be AWESOME!!
