how about........A HAND??!??!

or SOMETHING WITH HANDS.....now that's a challenge!!! at least it was for me!! I had to ponder on it for many a day...then the idea came to me.....use your own hands.....so that's just what I did!! I traced my hand on a piece of
Plain GrungeBoard and cut it out with my trusty, ever so handy Tim Holtz scissors...love 'em so much I own two pairs.....hehehehe

I then altered "my hand" with puddles of Distress Ink on my craft mat. Then I inked "my hand" with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. Next, I smeared on some Tarnished Brass Distress Crackle Paint. While this paint was still wet I stamped "my hand" with Jet Black Archival Ink and my gorgeous Hero Arts Flourish Stamp. Lastly, I added some
Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint!

I then pulled out my Mason Jar full of goodies.....in there I found:
Game Spinners
a Word Key
and some other vintage ditties!!

To finish off "my hand" I added the word "time" made of Alpha Parts and a colored piece of Seam Binding. I adhered then all to my chunky canvas with Multi Medium. The edges were created by misting the canvas edges and dipping the canvas into puddles made of Rusty Hinge Distress Reinker & Water. And there you have it......

SOMETHING WITH HANDS!!

You tooo can play along with the Teamies of Simon Says Stamp and Show!! Link up your creation to our Blog.........SIMON SAYS STAMP AND SHOW.....would just love to see what you whip up!! and who know you could be the lucky winner of....

Lynne...I love your piece. What an inspired idea to use your own hand to build such a neat piece of art! I can't wait to get home and really get to SEE you piece on my big monitor. The iPhone doesn't do it justice! XO Candy
