Once again....

ANYTHING GOES.....
at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week and I LOVE IT!!

Having spent the past week at CHA.....oh how much fun was that??!?! TONS! Then returning to recordbreaking heat.....wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull off a project this week but I did it!! I chose to use a project I started in a Mixed Media class taught by Sally Lynn McDonald/ArtC. This is what I came up with class....couldn't wait to get her home and "Lynne her up"!!

The lower left corner was looking naked so I created a a flower out of some new material I purchased (wish I could remember what it's called!!!)...it's heavier than crinoline......I AM IN LOVE. I painted on some Distress Stain and spritzed with water. And do you see the Leaves Art Parts.......LOVE them tooo!!

I added a bit of Liquid Pearls and Distress Stickles to the butterfly and created him an antenna out of wire.

Now....."the Girl" as I named here was looking
a bit lacking too so I accented her lovely
headdress with tissue tape, another flower,
some colored seam binding,
a bit of twine and a little bauble
....boy I felt better after that!!

Here she is.....the finished product!! Much....Much better!

So whatcha gonna create for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge??? Be sure to load your creation over at the blog for all to see and who knows......you could be this weeks lucky winner of......

Terrific spread Lynne and a heck of a lot of fun. Annette x

While not my style I do like the brightness and activity on this quirky piece! Hey, could the unknown fabric be buckram? That's the closest thing I could find to crinoline at Joann's. It's stiffer and the weave is a bit tighter.

I sat next to Lynne when she was creating the basic parts of this piece, and I have to tell you, she is amazingly fast and quirky and so out-of-the-box CREATIVE. I envy the way she attacks the project with a no-holds-barred enthusiasm.

She is a FANTASTIC Artist!
