It's about the COLOR.....

OK.....so this week at
Simon Says Stamp and Show
the design team had the opportunity to work with some Faber-Castell gooodness!!
Now I will tell on myself and say,
I was a bit unsure about the products
as they were relatively new to me,
but I just jumped in with my
"let's try this" attitude!!!
And ohhhh the fun I had!

I knew the Gelatos were mixable with water
so I let the games begin!!

I began by stamping a floral image
on some Canvas Corp Canvas three times.
I used Jet Black Archival ink as I needed a waterproof ink. After I heat set the ink, I colored on 2 colors of Gelatos per layer,
orange and gold, orange and red,
yellow and orange.
With a paint brush I added water and
watched the blending begin!!

To create the stem and leaves for my flower,
using the Green ~ Big Brush Pen,
I drew on a piece of canvas.
This time I chose to scribble a bit of
green Gelato my craft mat, with a bit of water, created a wash and painted the stems and leaves.

For added contrast, I rubbed
the gold Gelato around the edge of my canvas and accented with Carmel ~ Glitter Glam.

So.......put on a Kaleidescope of Color....
it's ok if you don't have the Faber Castel products,
it's ALL ABOUT COLOR this week at
Simon Says Stamp and Show!!

Don't forget to link your creation to the blog so you can be in the running for this weeks.....

Lynne, your piece for this week is really cool. I have always loved that sentiment and I love the shabby flower that you made to go with it. It's great! <3 Candy
