We Remember.....canvas!

Hello The Crafter's Workshop and Viva Las VegaStamps Fans!!
So GLAD you stopped by to see my creation made using products from
these two amazing companies!

I created a tutorial on how I made my canvas background for you viewing pleasure!
or it can also be viewed HERE!

I began by applying a layer of Shimmering Matte Artist Acrylic Paint to a Canvas Panel. Then with stamps chosen from my Viva Las VegaStamps Pound O Rubber, I stamped randomly on the surface.

Next I applied various texture mediums through The Crafter's Workshop
Coffee ~Splotches 6 x6 template and Today Framed Fragment with a palette knife.

I again randomly stamped my surface with Viva Las VegaStamps Pound O Rubber stamps and Archival Ink, embracing the imperfect stamping due to the texture.

I applied a layer of Shimmering Matte Artist Acrylic onto a piece of Kraft Cardstock then proceeded to stamp leaf images onto the surface,
which I in turn I cut out to accent my flower.

Here is a close up of my finished background.

I then added Petaloo flowers and stamped verbage to round out my canvas.

Howdy Crafter's Workshop Fans.....
Have you played with TCW Fragments yet??
Lynne Forsythe here with one of my latest projects
using one of these little goodies!

The fragment I used is by Ronda Palazzari ~ Hearstrings ~ TCW2049.

I, first, created the background of my card face by stamping and spritzing
on a Kraft Skinny Card.

Then, I "roughly" applied Embossing Paste through the Heartstrings fragment,

on the upper and lower corners.

When dry I gave the "hearts" a good spritz of Glimmer Mist!
Which made those Heartstring hearts just pop.
I finished off the card with odds and ends I had laying
around and finished it up with a quote.

If you haven't played with some of these little ditties....you should give
them a try....I know I loved the results!

Welcome to My Kitchen...

Hi.....Canvas Corp Brands Fans!!

Have you seen the NEW Farmhouse Kitchen Collection?
It is AMAZING.
I think my favorite item in the Collection
is the Farmhouse Kitchen Fabric Panel.
A 13" X 17" piece of Printed Canvas.

Now....anyone who knows my style,
knows I rip, tear and crumple
EVERYTHING!
But....I had the hardest time
cutting into this panel!
I heard myself say....It's only paper!!
(which I am famous for saying!!)
but it's not paper it's CANVAS.
However, as my idea for a Kitchen Banner
grew in my head, I KNEW I could do this...
So the TEARING began!

The base of my banner is
(2) Burlap Shape ~ Pockets and
(1) Canvas Shape ~ Pocket.
I rumpled the shapes to fray the edges.

I chose the images I wanted from the

Kitchen Farmhouse  Fabric Panel
cut into the canvas,
and tore the squares,
approximately 4.5".
I even pulled out my Tattered Floral die
and cut (3) Medium Flowers.

To accent the "Farmhouse" flower
I roughly painted a section of  a 12 x 12 Burlap Sheet
with Tattered Angels ~ Black High Impact Paint
and die cut (3) Medium Flowers.
I took a Red Burlap Flower and
cut off the back layer, then cut it in half.
I spritzed it with water
and painted Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glam
Calm Before the Storm around the edges
and tucked it behind the flower layers.

I accented all 3 flowers clusters with 16" separated pieces of
Red, Black and Natural Jute
tied into "loopy bows"
and matching antique buttons.

I used little pieces of
Tile Printed Burlap
Tile Printed Canvas
Black E-Flute
Black Burlap Fringe
and Ivory Burlap Fringe

that had been torn,
or rumpled and frayed
and tucked them behind the torn pieces of
Farmhouse Kitchen Fabric Panel.

I stamped on torn pieces of canvas
with Archival Ink and finished off the
banner with chipboard letters
painted with Tattered Angels ~ Black High Impact Paint
accented with  Red and Black Clothespins.

My lil Pumpkin!

My daughter visited a local apple orchard, Windy Ridge, with her boys.
It's a wonderful fall "to go to" place here in Northern NH.
She took some AMAZING photos of her little,
which I COULDN'T wait to scrap!

I used Authentique's Spirited Collection ~ Eerie and Ominous papers
adhered to cardboard and diecut, to create my pumpkin patch.

The Authentique ~ Spirited ~ Components, Circles & Scallops
and Stamp Blocks were just PERFECT to accent my layout.

I created a bit of a "road sign" by cutting up
the "You Are My Little Pumpkin" banner.

I then poceeded to us Petaloo ~ Fancy Trims and
LOTS of VARIOUS Petaloo flowers to create the base of
my "Pumpkin Patch"!

I had the BEST TIME mixing the various Petaloo blooms,
utilizing different textures and sizes,
to keep the "Pumpkin Patch" looking a bit "manly".

I accented the floral border with diecut Maple Leaves
keeping in the Fall theme.
