Ranger's NEW Embossing Powders

I have to say I am beyond humbled....
I opened my Instagram page the other day and noticed a message.
So, I popped over to see what it was about....
and there was a message from Kelly from Ranger Ink. WHAT!?!?!

Ranger Speckle Embossing Powder using ArtFoamies Stamps and Emboss it ink pad

YOU SEE....
Ranger Ink has released NEW Speckle Embossing Powders! and they asked if I'd be interested in playing with their new product.
NOW...that was a silly question! OF COURSE!
So, I PATIENTLY waited for my box to arrive....
When my box arrived, I headed right for my studio to try them out.

with ArtFoamies ~ Polka Dot stamp
I wanted to see how the product worked and
what it looked like when finished.
I tried several different ways to apply the Speckle Embossing Powder which is
a blend of color and textured granules.
  • Pouring onto paper with stamped image.
I found that the color covered the embossing ink making it a bit difficult       for the speckles to adhere.
  • Scooping out Embossing Powder with my palette knife and sprinkling onto stamped image.
This way worked better but I was still getting toooo much color and not        enough speckle.
  • Lastly, using very small quantities of the Speckled Embossing Powder, specifically placed.
By far my FAVORITE way. It Allowed the "speckles" to adhere better.

Once I had determined how to apply the Embossing Powder....what next?!?

First, I wanted to dimmish the glossy look. So, I applied a layer of

I then pulled out more ArtFoamies Stamps
and let the stamping/embossing/layering begin.
Layer upon Layer of FABULOUS color.

NOW....what to do with my new "Embossed Paper".
I decided to cut it into ATC's 2.5 x 3.5 to use for cards.

I then pulled out one of my UmWowStudio ~ Small Ivy.
Now, I need a green color so I thought I'd try mixing
BlueBerry and Lemon Drop

I used Ranger ~ Emboss It Dabber ~ Clear
on the chippie and covered it with my mixture.
I have to say....I LOVE how it came out.

I even added a bit of Emboss It Dabber ~ Clear
to the edges of the flower and Embossing Powder ~ Cotton Candy

2018 Christmas Card

Howdy Peeps!!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my
2018 Christmas Card.

I just ordered and received a 12 x 12 Gel Press plate!
....and I wanted to play with it!
I pulled out a few

Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics
Red Wagon
Moss Green
Bright Gold
Canvas Corp
Ivory and Kraft Cardstock
Black E Flute

Golden Orange

ArtFoamies
Circle Background Positive and Negative

Multi Medium Matte

I enjoyed a time of exploring my Gel Plate, paints and a stamp.
(sorry no photos)

My thoughts were to create a Christmas Ornament
but can I just say.....that's not working out so well.
A lot of hard work and it's not nearly as nice as I pictured in my head.

Now, I had cut my 3 pieces of monoprinted cardstock into 1 x 12 strips
so I decided to weave them together.
I then adhered the woven paper to a piece of
Kraft Cardstock with Multi Medium and let it dry overnight.

Using the Tattered Pinecone die, I diecut a piece of Black E Flute!
I colored my branch with a bit of Partridge in a Pear Tree Glimmer Mist.
I then tied a little golden bow and adhered it to the branch.

I cut up the piece of woven paper into 3 x 5.5 pieces.

I inked the woven paper and card with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.

I then put my card together with Multi Medium!
Here is my finished card!

Hoping to have time to make up a few more of this beauty!!

THANK YOU for stopping by
to check out my creative play time!

Playing with Gelli Arts

Hi ArtFoamies and Gelli Arts Fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog
to check out my creation using products from
both of these AH~MAZING manufacturers.

Now, I have a bit of a disclaimer. Somehow my DT box got lost in its travels, so I had to punt! I'm sooo HAPPY I owned a

8" Round Gelli Printing Plate to work with.

As my paint color selection was WIDE OPEN, I decided to create something for my dining room. Which was SOOOO EXCITING! You see I am living in a house with bare walls. YES bare walls. We just moved into our home in October.

Next, was to chose the ArtFoamies I wanted to play with!
I grabbed a few, trying to have each one very DIFFERENT from the other.
Leaf Geo

Lastly, what would I print on....

so I went on hunt and chose
a couple of Vintage Music Sheets
pages from a vintage McCalls magazine

a piece of white canvas
even a vintage paper bag

(I only ended up using the fabric,
can't wait to see what I do with the papers)

Then, I let the creative process begin!!
Now, I do have to say I am VERY NEW at the whole monoprinting process. So, this collaboration was a GREAT way
for me to try different things.

Here are a few photos of my final creation,
which now hangs in my dining area.

Make sure to POP over to Manufacturer's blogs

Family for Life.....US

Hey my friends.....
I am finally home after a WONDERFUL relaxing time in Florida
having fun in the sun and visiting family.
Upon my return, I quickly flipped everything to leave for a
Scrappy Weekend where I taught 3 classes.
I returned home to get to go to my
Favorite 4 year olds Birthday Party.
phewwww!!!

TODAY, I took some me time and had a bit of free creating.
I had this canvas that needed to be redone....
So I grabbed it and let the process just flow...
no videos, no cameras....just creating!!

There is layer upon layer upon layer....
some East Coast sand I brought home from Florida,
a little bit of Seth Apter's Baked Textures,
and Bon Bon and Night Sky Glimmer Glam.
I dropped the colors onto the canvas with a pipette
and moved with various Glimmer Mists.

My sister captured this precious moment of
my FAVORITE niece and I
at my Grandson party.

I knew I wanted to preserve it on canvas
and it just went WONDERFULLY with the canvas.

I cut out our images and adhered them on
a piece of manhandled burlap.

I colored the flowers using various layers of the
Night Sky and Bon Bon Glimmer Glam.
For the leaves I painted on a layer of Night Sky,
when dry I added another layer of Lime Cordial Glam.

I tied a piece of jute around the canvas.

I dug out some of my cardboard letters
and spritzed them with Bronze Glimmer Mist.

This is.......Us!
I hope you enjoyed my creative journey.....
I know it was good for my soul!
