Merry Christmas ~ Die~Namites Dies

HOWDY DIE~NAMITES FANS!!!

I used DT member Dunja Dücker's
November's Sketch and Die~Namites Challenge!

There is ONE IMPORTANT THING.....

you must use at least ONE Die~Namites Die!

Dunja's challenge ~ use BLING in your creation!

Here is the card I created using

the sketch as a basis!

I used the Holly Branch die

I die~cut many of the Holly Branches from

Coordinations ~ Distress Cardstock.

I, then, ran the Holly Branch
through an embossing folder.
Then, using Gold ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint,
I went around the edges of the holly leaves.

I hydrated a Chestnut Brown ~ Twinkling H20,

then I painted the "branches" of the die~cut.
On the "berries" I added a bit of
Red ~ Viva Colour ~ German Glitter.

I used the "Decked Out" Collection by Splash of Color
for the card base. My oval was created using
some wire wrapped with burlap strands.

What a WONDERFUL TIME
I had using this sketch!!

Now....I've spent the majority of my week
getting my "studio" up and running.
Needless to say.....
Not only did I use the sketch....
it was a 30 minute or less QUICKIE!!

....and because my "stuff" is an upheaval, 

I pulled out a few papers from "Decked Out" collection
by Splash of Color.

Then I decided to challenge myself further

and only use what I had on my work surface....

which can I say was VERY LIMITED!

OH.....do you spy the Die~Namites Die????
It is the Pine Bough die.

I cut it from Canvas Corp ~ Kraft Chipboard Handmade paper.

I brushed on a bit of Viva Colour ~ Gold ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint

and gave the Pine Bough a spritz of water.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't scrunch the Pine Bough diecut up while it's drying.

So, not sure the "cut" candy cane image
"cuts" it for a tag! but it sure went well!!

AND....it wouldn't be me if there wasn't a flower
on my card....SOMEWHERE!

Howdy Peeps....Just found this post
marked as Draft....oooops
Soooo here it is!!!
A new creation using the
EVER AMAZING Petaloo Flowers and
Graphic45 Bohemian Bazaar.

 

I had seen this wooden box at my LSS and
just KNEW it would be PERFECT for my
latest creation.

I began by lining the box with Faux Moss
to give it a uber earthy feel.

And because I CAN'T JUST LEAVE things along....
I chose to ACCENT the already gorgeous Darjeeling Flowers
with Precious Metal Effects paint....
It just makes the flowers POP!

I adhered strips of the Bohemian Bazaar Collection
to my wooden box.

Once again, I glooped and glopped, with
a bit of a spritz here and there!!

As and added accent...
I created a little flower cluster
on the handle!

And accented it with a little
G45 Chipboard!
The perfect touch!

And there you have it....
a PERFECT centerpiece for
that special occasion.

....a Die~Namite ATC!!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

I wanted to see how cool a Die~Namites Die 

would look on an ATC!!

I used the ohhh sooo cute

Dainty Dasies Die~Namites Die!!

I LOVE ATC'S because it is a challenge

to see how much goodness you can put on a 

2.5" x 3.5" space.

I cut 2 Dainty Daises from Kraft Paper.

One I used whole,

the other I cut the leaves from.

I then painted the Die~Cut images

with Olive ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint.

I then embellished the Dainty Daisy Die with

some colored Petaloo Flowers.

I just love all the "GOODNESS" I packed
onto my little canvas!!

Hope I've inspired you to use your Die~Namites dies
for things other than the conventional!!

....UNPLUGGED!

I have just returned from the most 

AMAZING, EXHAUSTING, BEAUTIFUL vacation to Alaska, 

one could ever wish for. 

Not only were the sights good but the company was even better as I traveled 

with my Aunt, Mom and Seeeester!!

Not only was I unplugged for almost 2 weeks.....

I didn't create one blessed thing!!

That combination can make for a

rather irritable girl.

Upon return home....there were the mounds of laundry,

house cleaning, computer work....

so this morning, I was about to clean up my work surface

and I decided to have a 

create with what is on your work surface challenge...

so here it is....

my "misfits" tag!

Now....I am only allowed to use what is on my

crafting table....

I did pull out a pair of "Timmy" scissors 

and his Tiny Attacher!!

Now the colors I had to work with...

Radiant Rain ~ Shimmering Mist

Teal Zircon

Butternut

Radiant Rain ~ Color Concentrate

Jasper Red

Probably wouldn't have normally chosen this color combo....

but that's what sooo fun about this challenge!

The twine was a bright pink....

I toned it down with a bit of Butternut Shimmering Mist.

I had some Viva Decor Crackle paint there also...

along with the cardboard tag that already

had a background created 

with Precious Metal Effects Paint.

I randomly applied a layer of Base Coat for Porous Surfaces,

with my palette knife....good and messy like!

When dry....with the same palette knife I applied the 

Viva Colour ~ Crackle Paint....

but decided to try something....

I sprinkled on some Meridian Blue Primary Elements...

spritzed it with a bit of 

Gold Pearl Shimmering Mist.

REALLY like how it came out!!!

I just love the "Words" from Splash of Color....

you can say what you want!!

So I challenge YOU.....

DT Reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard

Can I just say, I am beyond excited to be apart
of the 2013 2Crafty Design Team. What an UNBELIEVABLE opportunity
to represent such an AMAZING company and  AMAZING product.

I utilized one of the Wrought Iron Photo Adornment   chippies and dabbed Black Embossing Paste  on for texture.

How much fun are the 1.5" Hexagons, embellied with Cream ~ Modeling Cream, through a Mini Hexagon Template then added Gold and Burgundy
Precious Metal Effect Paint. And how cute are the Folk Hearts???

I chose to cut apart the ohhhh sooo cute "Enjoy this moment, This moment is your Life" For my second project, I created a Chunky ATC.

To begin this project your cut up a 2" x 4"
into a 5" piece. Paint "Chunky ATC" with Gesso. I cut up a piece of Chicken Wire Chipboard, painted it and adhered it, randomly, around the "ATC".

I backed the Juliet's Hearts with a piece of paper

and painted it with Precious Metal Effect Paint.

So, the Juliet's Heart would pop!

Can I just say I can't get enough of the 1.5" Hexagons!!

So...what do you think of my "Chunky ATC"???

For my last project I created a card.

Spring has finally sprung here in Northern NH. Now is the time for Flowers and Birdhouses. And the ATC Birdhouse chippies were PERFECT!!

The little birdies are just the cutest. 

There are layers and layers of texture, a little bit of Crackle,  and layers of paint on the Larinda's Flourish!!

What creation of mine would be complete without
a "flower cluster".  I hope you enjoyed my creations!

SMILE Canvas with Petaloo and Simple Stories

For those of you who may have missed my post
on the Petaloo blog yesterday......Here it is!!

When I opened my Design Team box that contained the
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
Petaloo ~ Penny Lane Flowers and
Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories,
it just about killed me
to have to wait to work with
these BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTS!!

But once I had a moment....
I pulled out all the goodness
and let the creative process flow.

 and can I just tell you....I had the time of my life!!

To add a cohesiveness to all the
different Petaloo flowers that were used,
I added some Precious Metal Effect Paint to the
edges of the flowers.

The basis for the canvas was the piece of
patterened paper that I just fell in love with.
Grey Wood ~ Vintage Bliss.

Using several Crafter's Workshop Stencils,
I applied layers of Gesso
and Wendy Vecchi's Embossing Paste.

Don't you just love the "SMILE"?
It was cut from one of the Simple Stories
papers and outlined with
a Pitt Big Brush Pen
which adds lots of depth!

further see how I created the canvas.
